Preparations for the Solung festival are officially underway. The Cultural Committee of the Wancho Council has begun coordinating with village heads across the five major villages to plan performances, food stalls, and cultural exchanges.

Solung is one of the most cherished festivals of our community — a time to celebrate the harvest, honour ancestral spirits, and gather as one people. This year, the council hopes to welcome visitors from neighbouring districts and share the richness of Wancho traditions more widely.

Registration for participating groups and volunteers is open at the council office. Village representatives have been requested to submit their performance lists by the end of the month.
