The General Body Assembly of the Wancho Council was held at the Event Multi-Purpose Hall in Kanubari. Representatives from all five villages — Rusa, Longding, Niaussa, Wakka, and Pongchau — gathered to review the year gone by and set the direction for the coming one.

The assembly reviewed the annual financial statement, approved the upcoming year’s budget, and discussed progress on key welfare programmes. Updates were shared from the education, cultural, and youth sub-committees.

Delegates also unanimously endorsed the council’s stance on several inter-district matters and approved the formation of a new Women’s Coordination cell.
